A delegation from the Ministry of Defence and Central Agencies led by Deputy Director of the Political Department, Major General Bui Van Huan on Friday concluded its working visit to the Truong Sa or Spratly archipelago. Major General Huan thanked soldiers and officers there for their display of strong will and determination to overcome difficulties while safeguarding the sacred sovereignty of the country. He called on them to develop Truong Sa into a strong and prosperous archipelagos. The visiting delegation also attended a ceremony to mark the 29^th anniversary of Truong Sa Liberation Day (April 29^th 1975).

Meanwhile, after returning from a tour of the Truong Sa islands, Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet, Party Polit Bureau member and Secretary of the HCM City’s Party Committee, said the city will assist the locals in economic development and defence of national sovereignty over those islands and continental shelf.
