Tablet Marking Territorial Sovereignty
Completed in Yongshu Reefs
|
On the eve of August 1st, the Army Day, the biggest tablet marking the
territorial sovereignty was erected at Yongshu Reefs in Nansha Islands.
It was designed and made by soldiers stationed on the island. Standing
1.988 meters high, it indicates the fact that our Navy started its
garrisoning in Nansha islands in 1998. The design of red heart and the map
in the middle of the heart on the top of the tablet is a symbol to show
that our soldiers on the islands have always kept the motherland in their
hearts and minds.
